Urgent Donation Drive!

Raised $95000 towards the $165000 target. A very generous donor has pledged to match all funds raised through the end of November, up to $165,000! That means for every donation to KWSP we'll get a matching donation from this very generous donor. If we meet this challenge, the school will be built in February of 2014!

We’ve currently raised about $95,000. Won't you please help us take advantage of this generous offer and double the impact of your tax-deductible gift now?

People Are Saying ...

  • David Jal’s story is inspiring. He reminds me that no matter how bad things seem, you can always make a difference in your own life and in the lives of others if you have a positive attitude and never give up.

  • I feel honored to be involved with this part of Davids Journey.  It is amazing how even small gestures go a long way.  I am excited this book will spread a message of hope, courage and appreciation.  David's story opens our eyes to the true meaning of perseverance, family bonds, and sacrifice.  I will be forever grateful for having the privilege to belong to this effort.

I just ordered some of the “David’s Journey” books online, and the process was fast, friendly, and secure!

  •  As Secretary of the Khor Wakow School Project, I get to open up some of the mail that comes in and write thank-yous to donors.  I am constantly amazed by the generosity of South Dakotans and people around the Country.   The people involved in this project are dedicated and hardworking.  It's been a pleasure getting to know everyone involved.  I've gotten a chance to meet many local Sudanese in my outings with David.  This experience has broadened and enriched my world.  When you hear David's story, you will be moved.  It's a story that is at times hard to fully appreciate as someone who grew up in the United States, but it is a beautiful story and one of great struggle, accomplishment, and hope for the future.
